Mrs. Pereira also knew, as Helder's advocate, it was important to share her experience with getting approval for the aid-in-dying medication, knowing there are others who are interested in California's End of Life Option bill.
As a mother of four recreational soccer players, Mrs. Pereira has been active in her community, most noticeable served on the Region 88 Board of Directors for American Youth Soccer Organization for several years. She is a native Californian and lives in the foothills of Angeles Crest Forest.
